“Operation Pumpkin Patrol” sponsored by Chartrand’s Your Independent Grocer in Chelmsford and the Azilda Community Action Network (CAN). Greater Sudbury Police, Fire, Citizens on Patrol and Ministry of Natural Resources Vehicles will hit the streets of Azilda and distribute candy to trick or treaters between 6:00 and 8:00 pm.

“Kids Safe Halloween” takes place at the Edgar Alan Leclair Centre (AKA the Azilda Arena). Staring at 5:30 pm, local groups and businesses distribute candy and the kids can enjoy a Haunted House. This is a wonderful Trick or Treat opportunity, all indoors and out of the cold!

While at the Arena you can check out the entries in the Azilda CAN’s Pumpkin Parade – Children’s Pumpkin Carving Contest and vote for your favourite! Entries were to be dropped off between 4:30 and 5:00 PM at the Edgar Alan Leclair Centre. First place was a $75 gift certificate for Mastermind Toys, with second and third place receiving $50 and $25 gift certificates.  Chanelle was this years winner with the Hamburger Pumpkin!
